I was looking through some of my old High School papers (I CANNOT believe I still have them -- I throw out lots of stuff) but I was remembering those articles and I remember how much I loved to write. When I was in my teens, and my BFF could attest to this, I always had a small notebook or paper with me and everywhere I went I was taking notes. She would always say that no matter where I was, you could always find me with some paper and a pen. So true...
Not much (and a lot) has changed.
I don't have much time to write, and when I do, I'm so tired, or I realize all the other stuff I need to do before I actually sit down and write.
Now, in the last few years I have written (and "directed") a couple of Home School plays (that we did with our home school group -- SO much fun - I should write about it). So, every now and then I do get to do some writing.
I should also mention that it seems my daughter, Keilani, has a bit of the 'writing bug' too. She does really great in her blog posts. When I read them, I can hear her speaking. She's very creative and it shows throughout her writing. Good job Kei!! Not trying to be biased or anything... but she's a pretty darn great writer.
Anywho.... Let me get back to my original point...
I was scrolling through my Facebook and saw a post by Kate Callahan Photography - an amazing photographer in the Delaware and New York areas (tri-state area). She posted this interesting article on her website/blog. Thirty-day writing challenge, you say? Challenge ACCEPTED!!!!
Would anyone else like to accept the challenge? Comment on this post with the name and site of your blog in the comment.
Kate summed this part up very well.... "For sanity’s sake, I’m not going to hold myself to blogging every day. But at least every other day until this challenge is finished up."
So even though it is a 30 day challenge, it may take some a little longer to complete. However, since my girls and husband will also be participating, we may end up posting every day.... But you take the time you need.
It will be fun to read along with each other, share each others thoughts and start conversations! It will be exciting.
Disclaimer -- I didn't come up with this list, so excuse the language on "Day 27". Also, for "Day 17" we will select a different topic.
