Bittersweet and bitter cold!

Its officially been a week since we've been back in the states. We left 80-90 degree weather, palm trees, beautiful beaches, colmados, motos, and tostones and arrived back home to 30 - 40 degree weather, traffic, high prices, american food, cable tv, and ....reality.

We've basically gotten back in the swing of things already, but we definitely are missing the DR life. However it certainly was great to see our family and friends here in Nashville. Our first meeting was wonderful seeing everyone in our congregation after 5 months. We missed everyone and it was great to see how everyone was doing. We now have to get started on getting things ready for our return to the DR in the summer. These next 6-7 months will definitely fly by being busy with all the preparations along with seeing as many family and friends as possible. Along with our online jobs, we'll try to get part time jobs to try to save as much money as we can and pay for things while we're here to survive =)

On top of all that, we're going to try to start pioneering again! Well, me and Vero again...Kei for the first time=) Needless to say we are going to be busy! Having the goal to return to the DR gives us that extra motivation to do what we have to now so we can fully enjoy our service together serving where the need is great. We will definitely enjoy our time back in the US as much as we can while getting ready for our return.

The cold weather is really the most annoying part of being back right now! lol! Yes, we grew up in the cold..that doesnt mean we like it! I'll take the sun and heat anyday over the cold and wind. Although I do enjoy the cold for sleeping, and I love snow, but just the cold in general? nope. We'll be fine though, we still have all our warm clothing and are seeing how it will all fit us again! Yeah, I lost 20 pounds in the DR from just being out in service! All the sweating and climbing up and down hills constantly made me slimmer and trimmer than what I already was! lol! So far our winter clothes just feel good because its keeping us warm, whether they fit or not is not really a worry!

Overall, it is definitely bittersweet being back home. We are just keeping our goals ahead of us and letting Jehovah do the rest as we work toward them. =)

May Jehovah bless all of your goals. Last nights meeting was so encouraging for all of us. Hopefully you will be back in the DR sooner than later.

"One gives generously and ends up with more...."-Prov11:24. We can't wait to see "what MORE" Jehovah has in store for your family!! Todas las alabanzas van a Jehova.
