First and foremost... let me apologize. Things just get so hectic and crazy... and things slip through the cracks. But I will promise that I will try to get something posted. Fun pictures... stories... experiences. Some thing... all of those things... or just to say hello :)
So, lets get started with an update on things:
1. We've been back in Puerto Plata since September, 2018. We are in Javillar Congregation. Our congregation has 4 elders, 4 ministerial servants, 13 regular pioneers and 87 publishers. Our territory is small, but we still find people who want to learn about Jehovah. Since this is the main reason for us moving... that last part is what makes us so happy.
2. We've had friends visit us! Lots of friends! It's been so great. First, we had Pamela stay with us for a couple months. It was a very new experience for us to have an older 'daughter' in the house (she is 22). I would forget that every now and then :) She was a pleasure to have and we hope Jehovah continues to bless her efforts to serve Him. She'll always have a special part in my heart. Then we had Eloy and Micheal visit us. It was their first visit here and their first trip out of the country. They had an amazing time. Then we had some "re-visitors" :) Tania, who came to visit last year, came back with two other sisters and another brother to visit. We had a blast!! Eloy, Micheal, Tania, Kimberly, Sydney and Aurelio were all from Tennessee. It was so nice to have them come. It was special to us to have a little bit of Nashville here in Puerto Plata. Love you all! Two extra visitors from New Jersey; one being a family friend of Jon's family... so it was nice for them to reminisce on a few things. And now, in March, we have one more visitor from Nashville. Rocio, Keilani's BFF, is here for a month. Can't wait to see how this trip helps mold her and helps her grow.
3. We are currently looking around for a new place. We definitely want to stay in the same area, since we are so close to the congregation and territory. We know that Jehovah will help us with that. He always has... and always will.
4. Work is work... Teaching students and, at least for me (Veronica) working as a travel agent. In China, February is their New Year, so we didn't have many classes that month... so we are trying to get back on track now. Little by little... it's getting there :)
It's funny when "so many things" happen, but at the same time, not really. We've all been very busy; but very busy in service - which is the best kind of busy.
We'll be in touch soon... and enjoy the next post of pictures of the first two months of the year.
